New EAT ME packaging for blueberries, raspberries, blackberries & redcurrants
We are proud to present our new EAT ME packaging for our berries. This new packaging consists of a cardboard tray and a lightweight topseal film, which contains 30% recycled plastic. Replacing the current plastic tray with more sustainable materials means we will reduce our plastic use by 94%.
The sweetest berries now in more sustainable packaging
A reduction in plastic use is one of our sustainable business goals. Our new packaging ensures a substantial CO2 reduction of 49% per tonne of product compared to the previous version of topseal packaging. The high quality cardboard tray is made from long fibres, meaning it can be recycled up to 22 times. The tray has been produced from sustainable sources and is FSC certified. These steps mean that, together, we are moving towards a more sustainable chain and are on the way to a better world for people and nature.
The new 125 g packaging is efficient to use and versatile too. It is suitable for a wide range of berries: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and red berries. The perforated topseal allows the products to breathe and ensures an optimum shelf life. The subtle EAT ME design allows space for a clear view of the berries in the tray.
