Raspberries

Velvety seducers

The raspberry is a juicy red-pink fruit with a hollow core. Raspberries are made up of clusters of smaller fruits, each with an edible seed. Raspberry are velvety to the touch and vary in size, firmness and taste. Their taste is delicious: from slightly sour to sweet.

Growing and harvesting

Handpicked

Raspberries are shrub plants that originate from the rose family. The cuttings are planted in pots. After two months, the plants are around one and a half metres high. A raspberry that turns orange to light red is ready for harvesting. This is done very carefully by hand. The less the delicate fruit is touched, the better the quality. Immediate packaging and cooling are also essential. After harvesting, the raspberries are delivered to Berries Pride as quickly as possible via an optimal supply chain.

Inspiration & tips

Delicious in combination with dark chocolate
The seductive-looking raspberry is a popular ingredient in many desserts. Its fresh taste makes for a nice contrast with dark chocolate. Raspberries don't shy away from surprising combinations either, like a salad with duck breast. Raspberries are a healthy snack and taste great in a pink smoothie. More inspiration?
