Sustainable schools stimulate Moroccan children’s curiosity

May 2021. Berries Pride has successfully completed a 2,5 year project with its blueberry supplier Roy Agri in Morocco. With technical support from local NGO Sanady 7 schools with 4000 students were transformed into Eco-schools improving school facilities and offering interactive lessons on science and sustainability.

The project was executed in the North-Western region of Kenitra. The school curriculum was enriched with interactive lessons on science, culture, and sustainability and installations were improved. Students actively participated in making their learning environment greener and more enjoyable. Together with their parents and teachers, they implemented projects around gardening, composting, recycling, water saving, and energy saving furniture.

The positive impact has exceeded expectations. The children, their parents, and teachers showed great enthusiasm throughout the project.
